This refrigerator is the same size as our previous side by side but seems like it has about 25% more usable space. The lower freezer drawer with the double inner compartments eliminate having to pile frozen food. Part of the reason we chose Bosch over other manufacturers was how sturdy the freezer drawer was compared to the others. The shelves on the doors are quite roomy. The three crisper drawers with their own humidity control lets us keep our fruit and vidsvegetables separate drawers with our meat and cheese in the third one, all at proper humidity. The ice/ water dispenser is exceptional. I like the crushed ice, extremely quiet and my grand kids love the bottle filler. Overall, a great investment!

Very good refrigerator, and lots of well thought out shelves and spaces for organizing things. There are no extra cold spots in the front or back. My vegetables and such never froze from being in the back. The only bad thing is that there is a water drip and icicle forming in the feeder that goes to the water and ice maker. I just put down a paper towel

We have a Bosch dishwasher which we have loved for 12 years so we thought we'd try the Bosch refrigerator and we love the feathers it has. It's counter depth so there's less room than the deeper model but for 2 people it's perfect.

We purchased the fridge in June and the ice maker is already on the fritz and not making ice. The water only works with the doors closed which we didn't know until we got it home. It is not uncommon but we were hoping for one that worked while the door is open. It is easy to clean. The storage inside is okay. It shoudl really have one more shelf on the door and it is hard to put tall items in it due to the ice maker taking up a lot of space.

This refrigerator is perfect but it doesn't make ice. Had the maker replaced after months of waiting for service call. Once replaced it worked for a couple weeks just like before. Now waiting months for service call again and had to purchase warranty because of the poor quality. Not happy with this purchase.

While we loved the fit and finish of the 500 Series fridge (we own a Bosch dishwasher and range as well), the quality control on the refigerator has been terrible. Within the first 3 days of ownership the ice maker and water stopped working. A technician came out 3x and even replaced the entire mechansm, a week later the ice maker was no longer working. After a lot of back and forth with Bosch Customer Support, our unit was replaced (this took about a month). Brand new fridge delivered. One week later, ice/water unit no longer working. Technician came out and replaced ice/water maker and we were up and running for a couple of weeks. Today...ice/water maker no longer working. It's been a constant battle for something that has obvious design flaws. Very sad to say this purchase was a bust.

This fridge is a signifant upgrade, and so far, we are very pleased. We bought a scratch-&-dent model, so we had a couple of issues right off the bat. The parts were easy to find & install. The fridge took about 1/2 day to acclimate & temps to level out. The features & functions are pretty standard, but the fridge has a heavy, solid feel to it that other models don't. The ice maker works quickly after you get everything set up. I do wish that the phone app gave you the actual internal temps.

Finish is very resistant to fingerprints Dispenser is the quietest of any brand owned in the past 40 years and maintains cleanliness without drips, runs, or splatter. Door shelf designs accomodate tall items well as does top shelves in main cabinet. Double tray freezer system engineering is second to none Cosmetically very attractive, pictures don't do it justice! Extremely energy efficient Best of all the local authorized Bosch Appliance distributor did a magnificent job installing 4 major new Bosch appliances without a glitch other than an extended wait due to backorders, the wait was worth it! Ice maker a problem

Our ice maker was freezing up. When the technician showed up he said the problem was lack of a seal between the ice maker side panel and the general refrigerator. Warmer air from the refrigerator was leaking into the ice maker compartment. He "bush" fixed it by putting a foam piece to try and block air movement but it has not worked. Hopefully he reported the problem and they have come back with a fix. Very frustrating.

I've had this refrigerator for 1.5 years and it's the best one I've ever had. The interior is designed well to provide ample shelf room for everything I need. Temperature is easy to control and maintain. I've had a couple of small problems relating to the filter though. First, it's become difficult to replace--requires extra strength to insert a replacement. This last time I needed to have a Bosch repairman come to the house and even he had trouble inserting it. Second, it's not giving me an alert message when the filter is due for replacement like it's supposed to. I've followed the instructions from the manual and from a phone call to Bosch customer service but haven't been able to set it to provide reminders so I have to track that on my own. But overall I'm so pleased with this product that I've already ordered the same model for a new house I'll be moving to in the near future.

Bought this refrigerator to replace a 20 year old Whirpool 1 month ago. So far so good. It is a counter depth so less room than our previous refrigerator but just fine for our family of 2. I love the home connect feature as I let us know on the occasion that we accidently left the door open. We have had an issue with the changing from ice cubes to crushed ice in the door. There is a lever in the ice tray that freezes to the point it will not move so it can't route the ice to the crusher. Have had to thaw it out twice already. I'm going to call the company to see if they will send me a replacement. Maybe a poor design. I really researched this frig and I wish I could give it a higher rating, but with the ice maker issue, I can't.

Defective Ice Maker

Our new Bosch fridge was delivered in July of this year. After a short time, we noticed problems with the ice maker. We had a repair person look at the fridge when he came to our house to diagnosis the problem with our brand new Bosch range that was purchased at the same time as the fridge. Turns out a seal in the ice maker was not long enough (sloopy manufacturing error) and it allows air into the ice making compartment which causes it to freeze up and jams the ice making tray so it can not empty. Also, the housing of the ice making compartment needs total replacement. We were willing to pay more for Bosch applicances because we thought they were superior products. Turns out they are not. Our new Bosch range also has manufacturing problems. I don't understand how they can ship these expensive products to customers with out adequate testing. We are very disappointed!

This is the worst refrigerator I have ever owned. The ice maker stopped working within a couple of weeks. I'm now waiting for the 4th service call in less than 4 months of having this piece of junk. Like so many other reviewers said, the ice maker just stops working. They replaced my entire ice maker and it's doing the exact same thing. I've taken 4 wasted days to sit here at home waiting for the repair and I still don't have a working refrigerator. At over $3,000 for this fridge, it's completely unacceptable. I want a replacement. There are constant puddles to clean up inside as well, because the ice maker leaks.

So far I love the refrigerator. There was a small dent in the ice maker door but the store replaced right away. I like the ice maker being on top and having an ice bin in the bottom. I like the interface with my wireless network. What I don't care for is the doors require positive closure. And the main door requires a bit more effort because of the sealing piece between the doors. Fortunately, the refrigerator will alert you if the door is open too long.

This fridge is our 3rd BOSCH appliance. Why not when the last BOSCH dishwasher lasted 17 years? The clean flat design, intelligent placement of shelves and a very silent compressor, is a perfect complement to our German kitchen design. Even though it's capacity is slightly less than the previous one, it feels roomier. The stainless steel inside walls are a testimony to the focus on quality by BOSCH. I always seek lifetime brands, who do not need any further research for future purchases because they have proven themselves over and over in the past, BOSCH joins the list for me with this fridge. I did not consider the smart connectivity to Wifi a feature I will use but with the ability to allow online services like Ohmhour to change the fridge's power consumption profile during peak demands and power shut off risk periods, remote connectivity has been a great convenience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a simple yet effective design in a fridge.

Awesome fridge, love the water fill feature. The only issue we had is that the stainless steel front is very sensitive to bends and dents. We created a small Ben from just pushing the fridge into place on its wheels. Otherwise it's a great fridge.

I've owned this refrigerator for 18 months and the ice maker has worked for less than half of that time. The ice make broke withing the second month of delivery, and parts have been delayed multiple months. The repair may work for a few months after, then the familiar E2 error reappears. Then we need to wait another month for service to arrive. I was misguided to think spending extra would mean a more reliable device, but the result seems to be harder-to-find service and parts.

What a Joy!

We replaced our 32 year-old refrigerator this summer and are delighted with this Bosch! We especially like the "snack drawer" and the fact that food no longer disappears into the depths of the freezer. Everything is easy to find, so there are no more frozen mystery items. Having everything waist-high behind the French doors is extremely convenient. And the water and ice dispenser on the door is genius. We are very pleased with our new refrigerator!

The refrigerator area is very roomy, wide and deep. Holds a lot of food for our family of 6. Main reason I gave it a 4 star is because there aren't a lot of drawers in the fridge area so a lot of stuff is just "out", and the freezer area is a little hard to deal with - there is a main area and a "drawer" area, which is a little inconvenient although it does give more space.

I'm very pleased with how long fruits and vegetables stay fresh. I'm happy with temperature controls. I would say the only negative comment is that it takes some effort to make sure the refrigerator doors close completely, unlike the freezer door which closes very easily. fortunately, the alarm can be set so that if the doors are slightly ajar, it will notify you.

The ice maker freezes up regularly and takes up nearly half a shelf in the refrigerator. It shows every fingerprint and smudge. You have to open both doors to get into the deli drawer. It was one of the few available during the pandemic when my old fridge went out, but I wouldn't purchase it again.

I purchased this refrigator when my old refrigator suddenly died during covid and nothing else was available for immediate delivery. I wish I could say I was a satisfied customer but I am not. Despite many calls to Bosch and a visit from a clueless repairman I am still having the same problem as I have had since I purchased it about ten months ago. Every time I open the door (just a senior couple) the shelves have condensation on them and I need to wipe down the shelves. Never had this problem with any other refrigators I have owned. Deeply disappointed and maybe someone at Bosch has an "answer" and this doesnot seem to be normal.
