I bought the gas range that is black and I like the color. The electronic display is nice and straight forward and easy to use. I am concerned about the thickness of the sheet metal, such that the side panels are flimsy and not robust. The bottom drawer is not strong at all and not self supporting when the drawer is pulled out. It is somewhat skewed and doesn't sit straight. Compared to my older 1988 GE gas model, the robustness of the stove's sides and lower draw is poor. The stove top and display are better. The oven is the same. Finally, I did not receive a user's manual and have to wonder why GE could not grace the new owner with a nice bound manual. I paid enough money to offset the cost of a manual and have formed the opinion that the company is cutting unnecessary corners.

This product was easy to level and install. I have not cooked with it yet but I did turn all the burners on as well as the oven and the broiler feature to be sure I knew how to use the oven and everything worked as I expected.

Gas Stove does not make clicking sound when burner knob is pushed in until you turn the knob all the way 180 degrees to the the left to the "Light" position. I do not think this is safe because you do not know the knob has been moved but burner is not lit until you smell gas. Is this a defect or is stove operating as it was designed to. My old Kenmore gas stove started to make a clicking sound and light the burner as soon as you pushed in the knob and started to turn it.

We've only been using the GE Gas Range for 2 weeks but so far it works quite well. I haven't cooked with Gas for a few decades so I am very pleased to be able to have a gas range now. Cooking with gas is so much better than cooking on electric range. Very versatile.

The clock itself was so easy to set up. And to use the oven was just a breeze to use. I love the delay cook on the oven, especially if I am grocery shopping. I would surely buy it again. And it is reasonably priced.

Overall it's a very nice unit. Simple and functional. Looks good. The burner knobs have a positive lock (you have to push and turn) which is nice so you don't lean on them and turn on the gas without lighting. The burners also light IMMEDIATELY. The display is large and bright white - easy to see time or temp. GE could have used a different font for clearer display. Also, why use such tiny print on the controls - there is room to use a bigger font. The timer stays on forever until you manually shut it off. My old GE had removable drip pans under the burners- this unit does not. The stove grates are not perfectly flat. You find this out when stirring a small amount in a large pot- the pot wobbles. Preheat to 350 takes less than 5 minutes. Preheat to 550 took about 20 minutes. The oven seems to heat evenly. Again, overall I am very satisfied with this unit.
